The Federation Of Communication Services announces the winner of 2006 Gerald David OBE Award for innovation in Business Radio.
The Industry honour is given to companies providing products and services in the business radio bands.
FCS has announced that the winner of its 2006 Gerald David OBE Award for innovation in Business Radio is A. W. Communication Systems Ltd for its TRip PMR gateway unit. The TRiP was designed and implemented by Axtan Ltd on behalf of A.W.Communications. " The TRiP was a technically interesting project that required the timed integration of Voice , Serial Data and Mobile Radio Signalling into a single stream of IP packets, and we are very happy that it has helped our client win this award " said Hugh James Managing Director of Axtan Ltd.
The award was founded in 2005, in memory of Gerald David OBE who championed the business radio sector, in order to find the company that has the most innovative product or service in business radio. The independent judging panel is drawn from the regulator and business radio industry experts.
